NUMBER 1 FAN

Pastor Chris has always told us that when a man encounters another man that he doesn’t understand, he tends to criticize such a person. Having read much of the filth on the internet I am more than convinced that much of what has been written has been done in bad faith.

So many people expect pastor to respond to every one of these diatribes, some even argue that his inability to respond is an indication that the critics may not be far from the truth. But why should he? I guess it’s because they want a man that they can read like a book, but then Pastor Chris wouldn’t be drawn to honoring a bunch of rabble-rousers with a rebuttal

Well, I feel so sorry for them! We don’t owe anyone any explanation; we are not bothered about what anyone says. There’s only one person to whom we answer and who’s every word directs our lives; this person is God! If He is pleased with us and loves us, then we have absolutely nothing to worry about.

You know, the strength of a man is determined by how much opposition he faces and how many enemies he has. The greater a man is, the greater his opposition. So many self-acclaimed Christians or should I say religious people, cannot comprehend how one man can be SO LOADED. To them, Christianity and prosperity don’t go together. Tell me, how can God who created such splendor exemplified in the heavens and the earth father kids who revel in the dregs of poverty? Naturally fathers leave long-lasting legacies for their children and their descendants. How much more God?

Pastor Chris has been so blessed of God and there is really nothing that anyone can do to change that.

Christ Embassy – giving your life a meaning!!

I am so glad that I am a part of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris rightly says….”Christ Embassy is more than a Church, it’s a vision, God’s vision”. Through intermingling with the message of this great man of God, we have become an integral part of a great vision.

I heard something this morning whilst listening to the message titled Three Important Laws“No member of this Church has a right to be poor, [he pauses to let it soak then continues] God has given us a ministry to help the poor, and they are not here”. Mind blowing isn’t it? This is just one example of the words that have built the vision into our hearts.

No matter how long or how little the time you have spent exposed to the ministry of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, there is one sure testimony we all have…”my life has been given a meaning”. It’s not a struggle; it is something that happens to you by the Spirit of God; it is a metamorphosis – an irreversible process of change, it takes place deep down in our hearts and it is manifest in our everyday lives.

The bible says God has placed eternity in the heart of man, there is no place where this truth is demonstrated more than in Christ Embassy; I’m sure you will concur when I say that one thing every disciple of this unique message has in common is that we are BIG, we are LOADED. The world has become small enough to fit into our imagination and we are persuaded beyond all reasonable doubt that anything is possible, how can you think like this and be poor?

Listening to Pastor Chris has made us champions, it has given us a “world-view” of life, we have become citizens of the world; it’s no surprise though because we have become partners with a man that has a mandate to reach the world. Together, we are building a happier world with love by giving individual lives a meaning.

STOP and THINK for a few minutes, where would you be today if you never met Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, if you never came across this glorious gospel according to Believers’ LoveWorld? I can only imagine what your answer is……oh, I’m so grateful!!! Click on the link below and share your testimony and …..let’s keep blogging.

Making a difference!!

Who would you consider to be a less privileged person? Someone who either does not possess such rights that I have or an orphan many would oft answer. I know of a young lad called Zion – his name I changed for the purpose of this post. He was eight years old when his father brought him to Lagos from Akwa-Ibom, both in Nigeria. On arrival, his father took him to Ojuelegba , a commercial hub in Lagos state , and asked him to wait for him under a fly-over while he headed to an unknown destination.

That wait turned out to be Zoe’s longest wait, for 24 hours he waited but his father never showed up. So at just eight years old, Zoe began his sojourn on the street of Lagos and a battle for survival, it was a risky and dangerous life underneath the Ojuelegba bridge where he was constantly at the mercy of other street urchins and marauders.

Today, the course of Zoe’s life has changed; he no longer resides underneath a bridge but lives in a well furnished apartment, attends school and speaks English fluently. He is happy, well dressed, well fed and above all, he knows that God has a purpose for his life and he’s is not an accident.

Indeed it is not by providence all this has occurred, but credit must go the InnerCity Missions of Christ Embassy for its great work among Street Children; glory to God for sending a man of God, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome who is giving their lives a meaning – he would always tell us, ‘Remember, every child is your child’. I shudder sometimes shudder when I imagine what would have become of Zion if not for the ministry of Pastor Chris…

TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL

Ebong lives in the heart of Ilaje- Bariga, in Lagos state where he and his ten siblings were reared by his parents. Ilaje community is an area close to the river bank where during the raining season; several houses including Ebong’s house which overlook the river are regularly flooded. Ebong’s parents were petty traders and making ends meet was an almost impossible venture, consequently the children took to the streets to earn their daily bread, leaving them with no early school education. Ebong supported his family by selling groundnuts on the streets from the age of eight and watched with helplessness and deep sadness his peers attend school. His plea to his parents for such an opportunity always fell on deaf ears as they told him time and again they could not afford the cost

One bright morning Ebong set out to ply his trade; that day marked a turning point in the young lad’s life. Ilaje community was one of the many areas visited by the InnerCity Mission of Christ Embassy – a non-governmental association dedicated to reaching Street Children. They stormed the area with plenty of goodies for children, parents, and youth living in the community, they also brought along free copies of the October Rhapsody of Realities because that happened to be the day members of Christ Embassy embarked on the 2007 edition on the “Reach Out” Campaign – a campaign where millions of copies of Rhapsody of Realities, the bestselling daily devotional by Pastors Chris and Anita Oyakhilome was ditributed freely across the nation of Nigeria as we celebrated our Independence.

Foodstuff and household items were freely given out and a number children who wanted to attend school were given a once in a life time opportunity at the LoveWorld Academy – the educational program of the InnerCity Mission, Ebong was overjoyed when he was named among the beneficiaries of this program. Presently, Ebong is in school with the groundnuts stored away forever only to be hawked by him when he is not busy with his books. He is eternally thankful to God for giving Pastor Chris Oyakhilome this great vision.
