The name Pastor Chris has become synonymous with the miraculous but there is one other even more striking phenomenon that is evident in the life and ministry of this great man of God. To explain it, I want to tell you about my very first encounter with this great general of our time, this would be the first time I would hear him teach God’s word and watch him minister.
It was in 1988 and it was on the University of Benin [Uniben] Campus in Benin City, Edo State Nigeria – then I was an undergraduate and I was actively involved in a Christian fellowship group in my school. We traveled four[4] hours from my campus to attend this Christian Conference organized by a sister fellowship group in Uniben; Pastor Chris was one of the invited guest ministers and I will never forget that meeting and the impact it made in my life as a believer.
The interesting thing is that I cannot tell you much about the verbal content of his message that day, though of course I remember bits and pieces of it, but what it left with me was the impartation of the Spirit. There was something about him and the way he walked, talked, and ministered that just brought home the presence of Jesus. It was so intense; it was so real…..we were transported right into the presence of God in a moment of time.
This is most definitely what the temple police experienced in John7:46-47 [JB Phillips] when they were sent to arrest Jesus – after listening to him,
they went back to the Chief Priests and Pharisees empty handed and confessed: “No man ever spoke like that!” to which they replied “Has he pulled the wool over your eyes too?” I remember as we traveled back to school, there was a consensus – Pastor Chris is just like Jesus.
He ministered to the sick during that meeting in such a unique way: first, he called those who needed healing forward and asked them all to stand in a straight line facing the congregation. Next he asked those who have always wanted to heal the sick to indicate this by raising up their hands; then he picked two of the lot – one male the other female. He told them to start at both ends of the line, take each person by the hands, look into their eyes and smile. The result? Amazing miracles…one after the other, they testified that God had healed them; it was simply awesome. Just imagine, as far back as 1988, Pastor Chri
s was already healing the sick, how much more now.
You will agree with me that whether it be on TV, in a leaders meeting, church service or major program, Pastor Chris carries with him that tangible presence of the Holy Ghost; when Pastor Chris ministers, you feel the love of God….it’s in his eyes, it’s in his words and it’s in the moments of worship, he invokes the presence of Jesus Christ wherever he is. When you attend a meeting with Pastor Chris or you are listening to a taped message or watching a broadcast, you are literally transported into the very presence of God, and repeatedly, people testify of one thing…..

Wow! Where do I begin ? The very first time I saw Pastor Chris on TV I knew he is the pastor God has given me,I was so amazed at the way he taught, dressed ,walked. I had never seen anything like that before,it was as though the program should not end. I heard words I never thought existed in his world. Yes, the first time that I accidentally flipped and watched this man preaching, I could not flip to another channel. It just sounded like what I have been looking for. It just felt right streight away and I did not want it to finish. I then started watching and listening to his massages whenever I have the time to watch TV. Now I have realised that I could watch him even on line, it is really an amazing blessing to me. I can not write much here. I tell people the good news because you never know who is out there so confused as I was about ministration before I heard pastor Chris’ massage.

i use to change the channel each time i see him in his white suites but right now. i do not want to miss a Sinday of not attending Christ embassy church. i feel the presence of God when am there.I feel peace.

Because of MEN like pastor Chris, the country Nigeria has made a turn to a point that no one speaks negatively about Nigeria or Nigerians.
Now I undestand what the LORD meant when he said to the child of Israel that ” If you turn back to me and follow my commandments, I will heal you….”
-First, Pastor, is not just like any pastor; ” he is a “PASTOR”
1- loves and fears God, he knows him and know his WORD.
He lives according to the WORD( that’s his daily bread).
2- He has trained his life with Psalms,hymnals, Spiritual songs, … when he does it, he does it with all his Heart
He’s one of the Friend of GOD. He knows how to touch the hert of GOD.

i wont be surprised if on the last day we find out that he is actually Jesus or the “disciple Jesus loved”. but one thing is for sure i undeniably know that there is something this man is not telling us.
i have never heard anybody speak the word of God so perfectly as this man. he has some
knowledge that about the word of God and when he communicates it is almost as if he is injecting the word of God into your system.
i am very sure he is from God

I hope I am right to assume that you have been born again, if so..disgusting is not what you call fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. And if no, I encourage you to take that step today and give your life to Christ. What is so wrong in saying a man of God looks like Jesus? As children of God, we have the life of Christ…..who should we look like? Besides, believers were first called Christians [christ-like] in a bid to say they were like Jesus, the Christ [Acts11:26]. Yes, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome looks just like Jesus and as we acknowledge this and follow the word of God that he teaches, we also become more like Christ.

i agree with u niki, its simply wrong to say he looks like Jesus becuase we can never compare him to Christ, there is a problem that arises as people end up idolising him like what happened to Paul and Banarbus when people claimed they were gods by seeing the miracles they performed. If he is sent from God let us refrain from saying things that elevate God’s preachers into gods, we should focus on the KING himself not his messengers. and secondly “uspeakoutnow” dont use false humilty to justify what is wrong, we are never to compare ourselves to Christ but we are to desire to live by His standards, not to elevate ourselves to His level. I first heard of Pastor Chris in the year 2005. My wife encouraged me to listen to his message on sky television.I watched the healing program titled “Atmosphere for Miracles”. I was highly skeptical of pastors preaching divine healing and moreover I had just watched the film titled “leap of faith” 2 months before I watched AFM. I told my wife how sad I was to see the “stage managed healing testimonies”. She suggested I listen to Pastor Chris’ message. The first message I listened to I was catapulted to another realm. Since then I have been listening to Pastor Chris and I am now a member of Christ Embassy, Norwood. Every time I listen to Pastor I am blessed and refreshed.

Pastor Chris was in 300 level while I was in 100 level in the department of Architecture of Bendel State University(1985) I have always known him as a pastor as far back as that time.
I was not born again at that time, but you can not ignore or deny his commitment and influence not only on our campus, but in other schools around.
He has always been bold about the Gospel, he has always been well dressed, to me he has not changed at all and I do not think any kind of negative talk will make any difference.

I came in contact with Ps Chris through his messages in 2007 and I immediately found him to be a wonderful teacher of the Word. He so knows the Word [ both the letter/written( logos) and the spirit]. I was amaze by the number of scriptures he would quote ( up by heart ) while he preached. He has handled the Word; he knows what he’s talking about and teaches with confidence and authority unspeakable. . . just like Jesus did (as opposed to the Scribes & Pharisees).
His first message I really got a hold of is ”God’s Recipe for Success” in September 2007. I had to prepare for my Resit examinations and I had so many courses to resit for – I was afraid, pannicking and overwhelmed by the work load. In this msg ” God’s Recipe for success”, Pastor teaches on meditation- thinking (brooding) over the Word; muttering the Word and shouting the Word. He taught that when u meditate on the Word long enough it usher you forth [ propell u into ur prosperity, success] As he thought I felt the heaviness, fear and worries go and said it’s high time I put the message to work- keep declaring daily what God has said about my success ( I am the first and not the last; the head and not the tail). Behold, at the end of the resit exams I passed/ validated/succeeded in all my courses. Wow! I was happy I won – my declarations came to pass. I thank God for Pastor Chris b/c in those gloomy days, he brought a message of faith (and hope) in the Word which I applied and it worked for me.
He always says things like this : ” God’s Word is Dependable” , The Word of God is result-oriented” ; The Word is for doing; We are products of the Word;
If u’re sick and born again, the Word says in 1Peter 2. 24 … by his (Jesus’) stripes you were healed.
So u believe it b/c the Word says so. Then u confess u are that way ( healed) b/c the Word says so despite the lying symptoms u feel in ur body.

What can i say. Pastor Chris is in a way indescribable. Glory be to GOD for mightily using him. He inspires many and is definitely a mentor to many, me inclusive. I contnually thank GOD for this gift unto us.
I pray he will come to our country Zambia as I ve only watched him on TV and DVD but its part of my resolutions this year to watch him live either in South Africa or Nigeria.

I had never heard anything about Pastor Chris until about mid july 2007 , when I was given a copy of Rhapsody of Realities. I cann’t explain how I felt but something happened to me !. It was like … difficult to explain. In short I had a burning desire to read it. Since then, there’s not been a day that I’ve not listened to Pastor Chris on Internet, TV, DVD’s or read His books. I am litteraly glued to his messages . I also talk about him to people around me even those far away urging them to follow him. Even now as I am on this subject, I am feeling that unusual sensation…
Pastor Chris, no wonder one of my granddaughters at age 4, called you JESUS , when she saw your picture on the cover of the DVD “In spirit and in Truth “.

Yes, Ps Chris is a Man of God.
I use to be skeptical of Nigerian Ministers.
I remember the yr 2000 I was in Ghana and anytime I tune in the TV I see him I quickly change the channel. Until recently when I came back to London from Ghana. My wife was not well at all and she listens to him alot on the TV. She decided to go to the Healing school in SA came back completely healed. she brought me a Book “Confessions” and I quiet remember I used it for about two or three times and I was reliefed of my tiredness I use to have.
That alone alerted me to watch his TV ministry. One thing that convince me more of his teachings is the “Speaking In Tongues” Three kinds of Wisdom, The Wonderful Name of Jesus and Ursing the Name of Jesus.
So I started listening to his Dvds which I bought alot and continue to buy and listen. My way of prayer and listening and understanding anyone preaching is growing. [
Although am from a different Church and believes that His ministry is of a different level in the whole world.
I am carrying some of his teachings and one day when am given an opportunity to preach in my Church which I think it will come I will definetly explode with the Power of Holy Host in me.

The very first time I saw & heard Pastor Chris minister was on a sunday in 2003.When I decided not to go church service.After having done my house chores, I decided to switch on the television & there he was ministering to people at the healing school.
Prior to this,a friend had told me about him, but I was a bit skeptical about a ‘nigerian-healing minister’, but I decided to watch.As I was watching,BOOM! The very room I was in was filled with the Awesome Presence of GOD. I was Amazed & Excited that I decided to stay home for the next two sundays just to be in GOD’s Presence with Ps Chris.
In all this we give Glory to GOD Alone!
No glory should be given to any man of GOD, only acknowledgement of how GOD is using them.

of this one thing i am sure, no man remains the same after an encounter with pastor Chris. In his presence, i experience experiences un describable. Its fellowship with God, rapture on earth and divine encounter with the Holy Spirit.

The first time i attended pastor chris’ church was in 2000.Prior to this time ,i had watched his program- ATMOSPHERE FOR MIRACLES on television and argued with my friends the next day at school that he was not real,my reason been that he preached prosperity.
In the month of may 2ooo,i was running errand for my aunt when i suddenly heard a voice talking to me.The voice asked me questions like-Do you know that i created you and i have a plan for your life ,and i answered saying yes.Then that voice referred me to a Christian brother who happened to be my neighbor and asked me to follow him to church,i approached him and told him about my encounter.
The Sunday after that day,i followed him to church but we were late so i only had the opportunity to watch the pastor
on a screen in the overflow section.
At the close of the service the pastor asked that we raise our hands to praise the lord as i did i felt something moved through me like cold water and in felt real peace that day.That was the first time i met pastor Chris.I believe in pastor Chris with my life.He is indeed an icon of Jesus
