I have heard Pastor Chris Oyakhilome sing this song so many times and I remember he told us how as a young teenage student, he would sing this song over and over again with tears in his eyes because he was consumed with a passion for souls. Over the years, this passion has remained the hallmark of his life and ministry. Well, I have a beautiful piece here by my friend that says more, enjoy!!

What is passion? It refers in this context to an intense, driving, or overmastering feeling or conviction. It can also be a strong liking or desire for or devotion to some activity, object, or concept.

The Lord Jesus Christ described John the Baptist as a “burning and shining light” in John 5:35. This description depicts a man who is about his business in a diligent and passionate manner that produced evident results.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome [Phd] is a present day example of someone that could be described as a burning and shining light. He surely is about his business in such a passionate manner that it shows in the kind of crusades and meetings he organizes and the results or outcome of such meetings. Pastor Chris’ passion is directed to one thing and one thing alone – the salvation of souls from around the world.

He started off with the vision to ‘take God’s divine presence to the peoples and nations of the world’; the vision has today engulfed the entire nation of Nigeria, Africa, Europe, Asia, South America, Canada, USA and indeed the whole world. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has brought together some of the largest gatherings in several countries around the world; he has hosted meetings where more than three million people have been in attendance in one single night.

What then could then be his driving force and motivation? Time and time again, the man of God has expressed and demonstrated two major things – his deep fellowship with the Holy Spirit and his “un-quenching” passion for souls. He never stops praying for them, he never stops teaching and preaching the gospel and he continuously draws the unsaved to his meetings in large numbers.

Sadly, there are many Christians who are saved, “hell-proof” and “heaven-bound”, who do not care about the souls of the lost; what a contrast to the Lord Jesus Christ – a man whose every waking activity was motivated by a passion for the lost in his day. [Luke 19:10; Mark 10:45]

But thanks be unto God for men like Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and the army of passionate soul winners he is raising all over the world. Men and women who, like himself, are ever hungry and passionate about the salvation of the souls of men.

4.      Will Married couples remain married in Heaven? – The Bible says that at the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven (Matthew 22:30). What then happens to Christian couples who were married on earth? Will they maintain their marital status in Heaven?

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome – A Style Icon!!

Dear Tammy,

Greetings to you in the matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ; I became a fan of Pastor Chris through your blog and I have listened to him ever since. You know, apart from the inspiration and spiritual impartation I continually receive, I have noticed something extraordinary – this might sound “carnal” but, I’ll go ahead and say it anyway, I am captivated by his dress sense; he is a style icon.

In every sense of the word, Pastor Chris has definitely got style and much more. It’s a mélange of charisma and deity. More than his dress sense, it’s his presentation of divine truth, the poise and the calm that he exhibits, that makes him so much more stylish. There’s a lot of power in the way he carries himself and the message he preaches. His wavy hair adds to his personality, His strong, traditional suits, bold power ties, subtle pocket squares and weighty cuff links and his well maintained body makes him very smart.

His handsome look with his message of grace, his charisma, his message, and his humility, all add up to his cool style icon image. His charm and personality is built from inside on what he wears, and it is a part of the whole package, his entire image is directed on perfection and super excellence. Pastor Chris’ personal style is worthy of acknowledgment and emulation. He is definitely setting the right tone as a fashion icon.

And before you wonder if I’ve gone “off my rockers”, the scriptures suggest to me that our Lord Jesus was a style icon in the days of his earthly ministry. Remember that on the day of his crucifixion, Roman soldiers who I believe must have been well paid at their time because they were government officials divided Jesus clothes amongst themselves and cast lots for his coat. They must have been good quality – designer wears.

Faith Proclamations!!

I have the life of God in me! My life is hid with Christ in God; it’s impossible for sickness to have dominion over me. I am not of this world; therefore, I refuse to be subject to the corrupting influences of this world. Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world. I dwell in dominion and victory over all contrary forces. I walk in divine health and strength; no infirmity can stay in me. The same Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead lives in me; therefore, no sickness or disease has the ability to harm me.

I am supernatural! The life of God is at work in my members; I refuse to accommodate sickness. The Maker of heaven and earth has made my body His home address; therefore, I refuse to worry about my health! I declare that I enjoy divine health everyday! I am from above; I am seated together with Christ in the place of power, dominion and victory. No weapon that is formed against me shall prosper; the Word of God prevails in my body.

I declare that my body is daily vitalized by the power of the Holy Ghost in me; therefore, every fiber of my being is filled with life and strength. The healing power of God is in me because the Healer lives in me! Sickness has no place in my body! The matter of sickness was settled forever by virtue of all Jesus accomplished through His death and resurrection; I refuse to be broken anymore  by infirmity.

I am complete through my union with Christ; therefore, I declare that every organ of my body is perfect. There’s nothing wrong in me; every part of my being functions with utmost perfection. My faith is the victory that overcomes the world; therefore, I declare that my faith is working and producing great and mighty results. Success is mine! Divine health is mine! Victory is mine, in the mighty Name of Jesus, Amen!

A Prayer for You – Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Sometime last year, on my birthday to be precise, I wanted to so much to have Pastor Chris Oyakhilome pray for me personally, and it didn’t look possible until I remembered that I got a free Prayer CD in my copy of his book The Seven Spirits of God [Get your copy at the Christ Embassy Online Store]. So, I put the CD in my player and knelt down beside my bed and Pastor Chris began to pray for me….boy, was I ever so blessed. It’s been over a year now and I have seen the fulfillment of these words of prayer in very miraculous ways. This is why I decided to share some of these precious words with you – I already posted these words of prayer on another page on the blog and the testimonies have been so inspiring and the requests touching.

I pray for you, that the blessing of God’s word will rest upon you and in your home, health is yours, strength is yours, promotion is yours, protections is yours, increase is yours, in the Name of Jesus, no weapon fashion against you shall prosper, and God will increase you from glory to glory, you will move from grace to grace, from strength to strength, and continually experience the victory of Christ in your life, in the might Name of Jesus. I pray that God will guide you, and fill you with the spirit of wisdom, and revelation in the knowledge of God, I pray that He will enlighten the eyes of your understanding, in the Name of the Lord Jesus. I pray that He will cause you to increase, in every way, cause you to make progress in your life, may God continually review Himself to you, in the greater measure all the time, may He fulfill His divine purpose in your life.

I speak in the name of Jesus, that the power of the Spirit of God will move you from where you today to the next and higher level of success; I decree in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the circumstances, men, materials, finances, will fall into place to cause you to move to the next and higher level of success. This is your season of “Sudden Glory” says Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
